A leader, thinker, and engineer…
I’m a cybersecurity and IT executive. I am a DevOps and artificial intelligence advocate, not because I am a developer (I’m not), but because of the cultural shift it represents and the agility it gains. I am also a fan of the theory of constraints and applying constraint management to all areas of business: sales, finance, planning, billing, and all areas of operations. I love to architect and design solutions and I enjoy brainstorming about possibilities with zero trust strategies.
My speaking:
I have done a lot of public speaking in my various roles over the years, including presentations at various trade shows, MITRE ResilieCyCon 2022, SBDC (Small Business Development Center) workshops, and Central PA Chamber of Commerce events as well as events that I have organized at MePush or Airiam. Additionally, I have spoken at BSides events and have submitted papers to speak at the upcoming RSA conference in 2024 (crossing my fingers that my talk is selected).
My writing:
I write a lot. Papers for school (I am ALWAYS taking more classes). My leadership:
I love learning about leadership, mostly to identify gaps and improve my own. It is important to me to teach and coach others to become better leaders, and I have run several leadership workshops, speaking on leadership styles, critical conversations, negotiating, and extreme ownership (thanks Jocko for helping mold my current leadership style).

My experience:
I have a lot of experience from developing a great company with great people and culture to spinning up an impressive DevOps practice and designing impressive solutions. I have been a project manager, a President, VP, a COO, a CTO, a CIO, a CISO, and an incident response leader. From architecting cloud solutions down to the nitty-gritty of replacing hardware, I have done it all. When it comes to technical leadership, I am the go-to for many companies.
Business development, making connections, networking, and establishing brand awareness have been some of my strengths in the last decade. Although I’m not technically a marketing professional, I am always looking for ways to educate the market about our brand and about resilience and cybersecurity in general. I love doing webinars, podcasts, radio interviews, conferences, and speaking at events.
I love leading tabletop exercises and helping companies with business impact analysis, incident response planning, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity planning.
I have grown businesses and built brands. I have been a coach and a mentor, developing the skills and careers of those in my company. I have formed and managed teams, and developed strong leaders and replaced myself within the company time and again as I evolved.
